Waddup camaraderie,
I gotta totally disagree when ya'all say UK hip hop comes below the American rap scene.. I got solid reasons for that ever since I've been bumping to grime, gritty and glitch hip hop tracks. Well many of ya'all would have a different opinion on this since somewhat grime would be synonymously mistaken for crunk. It vibrates differently on ear drums- :)
Despite those thick accents, heavy basses, unorganized drums and off your average rap grid lyrics, I came across this cat called Devlin. When i googled more about this emcee's whereabouts, I discovered that he is indeed heavily linked with US rapper Eminem. Nope not D12, Shady Records and Dre's camp, but some lyrical conflicts and collaborations. Those two statements would be heaven's and earth distance since I failed to obtain much feed about this. There is a recorded freestyle involving both emcees, but am yet to validate its presence. Whatever it is, both emcees are multi-syllabic and uses creative wordplays on short stanza.
I'm tipping Devlin to plunge out of the scene globally surpassing your hip hop norms since UK is delivering a 'salvation' to those in sense of rap ailment. Devlin would define himself as a "Giant" on Youtube. Move with the words and the 8-mile like video since this is definitely UK's finest grime artist...
