What's them restful weekend for sizzle like people?. What brings me to this post is my man
Dafrosty. Yes u heard me, Mr.Frost is back with his mixtape ready to be bootlegged to your local drives and them jogging apparels. Apparently, I've been hooked with this mixtape ever since i downloaded it. These are few(maybe loads) reasons:
1. The mixtape is free
2. The bitrate is 320 kbps
3. This mixtape has 15 tracks including its skits
4. This is
exclusively been produced, mixed and mastered by Dafrosty, whilst some tracks are produced by Sazz The Villain, Shazet and Dafrosty himself.
5. The mixtape has shitload of samples to make ya'all ponder and such,
6. The artists inclined/listed on them mixtape murdered their slots
7. The deliverance of the host would immaculately flip and toss emcees apart as a reference for them career!
8. There are lyrics embedded in all of them tracks!!!
9. It has Magneto's helmet as its mixtape cover
10. This is strictly UNDERGROUND
*Feel free to hook me up with more reasons if ya'all got em'.
This mixtape psychedelically 'shroomed' me from the moment I hit them play on my media player. Imagine, having a mash of Brother Ali, Final OutlaW, Sabac and Mr. Lif ripping tonsils on them Madlib, El-P beats. Dafrosty lifted the Malaysian rap arena to another level with his spells on beats and rhymes. Well this cat key-styles a lot and these are few key-stylers who sounds better spitting.
My money for the mixtape would be
Fire Works the immediate track after the strong intro sampled from Malcolm X. For split a second, I rechecked my playlist to screen for Vinnie Paz. The soothing piano and high frequency cut drums at the intro speaks loads of stories to your average beat makers. Sazz The Villain layered an air ball which Mr.Frost slam dunked with style.
Rap Gladiator was the next to initiate the action potential in my ear hair cells. This track was heavily experimental and it's the 1st I've heard of his such from a Malaysian producer/emcee. I should say it's bold and reached it's whereabouts.
Salvation is surely the next skate boarder's anthem even though this sounded handsomely grungy. Lina Halim engineered a 3 syllable tune and spoke nothing more. Again, Dafrosty took me by surprise with the rhymes. This is a cover from Cranberries which I'm honestly not familiar since I've never heard them girls. Maybe i should in the future, now look how hip hop cross promotes other genres! (bragging rights!)
Overall I'm rating this album a 7 out of 10 stars. This is the best local business I've heard all year long. Dafrosty is your next existent rapper you would say "I knew him" as the kid continuously executes mid-day mutiny on rap. I would love to see him maintain and sharpen his current style. At them mean time, keep a lookout for his unique deliverance, signature beats and deep rhyme not an average emcee would do. This mixtape is a MUST HAVE for all no matter ya'all are digging rap or hip-pop!
